Fall is in the air and as we come into the holiday season, we are incredibly grateful at VetRec for all the support and trust that each and everyone of you have given us. November marks one of the largest updates we have made to the platform that we are confident will set a foundation for what is to come in 2025!
📜 Records Recap Update: Templates and Handwritten notes support
A top ask from a large number of users, records recap gets even smarter. Not only can you now customize the template you want to use for records recap, but you can also input images, scanned documents and handwritten notes (Assuming they are legible 😜). As part of records recap, we also introduced timelines which allow you to visualize patient history not only by categories, but over time. Use records recap today!
🤖 Chat with D.A.V.I.D
Introducing D.A.V.I.D (Diagnostic Assistant for Veterinary Insights and Differentials), a chat based agent that helps you with you cases. With D.A.V.I.D, we strive to help improve the process of doing research and augmenting patient histories. From helping with differentials, dosage calculations to reading through clinical literature to provide insights, we want D.A.V.I.D to be your assistant as you go through your day. In the coming months, we will be expanding the set of data sources and tools D.A.V.I.D will have access to. Try D.A.V.I.D today!
🔒 SOC 2 Type I Compliant

At VetRec, we take your data privacy and security very seriously. To that end, we have gone beyond our existing HIPAA attestation and have secured a SOC 2 Type I compliance certification done by a 3rd party auditing team. This is the first step in securing our SOC 2 Type II in the first half of 2025.

🐾 Multi-pet support
To better support all kinds of situations vets see every day, we are adding improved support for multiple pets. Our goal is that you can record once and let VetRec figure out the information for each pet and generate individual notes for each.
📁 Multi-document support
Sometimes you want to generate several documents off a single visit. That today requires you to overwrite any existing documents. Not cool, we know. To enable better workflows, we will be allowing you to generate multiple documents for a single visit. For example, on a single visit you will be able to have multiple documents like a medical record, a surgery report, an abdominal ultrasound report, a client discharge summary, and a kid’s story ;). All under the same visit!
📞 Phone Call Notes
Let VetRec help with generating summaries and notes from phone calls to client. Simply connect VetRec to the call and let VetRec process the information. Add recordings directly into existing visits or create standalone notes for a call.
